Weight loss sometimes eludes us.
We exercise, drink plenty of water, consume protein shakes, take our vitamins and mineral supplements but we still sometimes gain weight or remain at the same weight.
So what’s the deal? What is preventing us not to lose any weight at all and to make things worse; gain weight?
How do you get around losing those extra 10 lbs that are kicking your butt and has you scratching your head frustrated on what to do next?
The answer is a lot simpler than you think. You see your mind and your body are two separate things all together.
You’re probably thinking where the heck you are going with this so let me explain. You simply can not tell your body; if I stop eating then I will loose weight. It doesn’t work that way.
That is one of the biggest mistakes you can make while try to lose weight. The solution to the problem is not to stop eating but to eat more frequently and eat better quality foods.
One of the biggest mistakes most people do is skip breakfast. If you are skipping breakfast and trying to lose weight you have already loss the battle.
So what is breakfast? Well let’s look at the words and their meaning. Breakfast means you are breaking the fast from the time you went to sleep till the time you woke up.
When you go to sleep your body’s metabolism slows down and you go into a fasting stage because there is no activity and you are not consuming any calories. Just like when certain animals go into hibernation. Their system slows down because there is no expenditure of energy.
We do this each night. We slow down and go to bed and our metabolism slows down as well. Now when we wake up we need to get things going.
So you wake up; you get some coffee and then it’s off to work. So there lies the problem. Your metabolism is still running low because you have not stimulated it with any form of energy-food.
This is where the break from the fast comes into play. You need to get a good breakfast into your system to get that metabolism into gear to start burning calories instead of storing calories.
So what do I mean by storing calories? That is the magic question. When you skip breakfast your body is still in a fasting mode as well as a starvation mode.
What happens when you do decide to eat at lunch time your body has gone into a deeper stage of starvation so whatever calories you consume your body will store a large portion of those calories as fat. It is our body’s natural survival instinct.
But hooray! It can be controlled by simply eating breakfast and getting that metabolism going. Think about it this way, if you are giving your body the energy-calories it needs through out the day then it does not need to store fat because it is getting the energy to function.
So you see why breakfast is the most important meal. It starts your metabolism back up to get the fat burning process going.
Now you might be asking what the heck that has to do with my mlm business. I am not going in to a very deep explanation but if you look at you mlm business as your metabolism you can imagine what it is you need to do to get it running.
You need to feed it with prospecting, adding content, provide training for yourself and your down line. Work on your development and skills.
Your mlm business will begin to show results as you continue to work on those actions. You are basically feeding your business in order for it to work, to flourish, and to grow.
Constant action will lead you to the results you are looking for in your mlm business. If you do not provide that activity then your business will be in a starving mode, a hibernation stage and you may not see the results you are looking for.
The company that I am associated with has a wake up call each morning to get things started. I consider that my breakfast for my business. I know it sounds a bit corny but it works for me. After listening to the call I’m fired up and ready to get productive.
Use what ever you got to get yourself going in your marketing business. And remember don’t skip your breakfast. : )
