What Is Your Focus?

This may be a complicated for some. It could just be as easy as the ABC’s for others.

Now a lot of people will tell you to focus on helping others. It is better to give than to receive. This is true and it feels great to be able to help other people achieve their goals.

It is self gratifying and it gives you a great feeling of accomplishment. I also believe that it makes you a better person in the long run. I’m sure you can agree.

I also believe you have to focus on yourself. That’s right, focus on you, but I don’t mean become self centered or become selfish or feel that it’s all about you.

Or maybe it is all about you? If you are not achieving the success your looking for perhaps you may need to focus on “you” to get where you want to be. Let me explain.

When you focus on yourself you should be looking for ways to improve.  Maybe it is improving your knowledge in a particular subject. It may be self improvement. It may be an exercise program or anything else that you feel that will help you become a better you.

If you are looking to recruit more people then you may want to focus on your skills on recruiting. If you are looking to improve on your affiliate marketing then you will look for materials on how you can improve yourself in that area.

Now, by you focusing on you first, you then are able to help others to achieve their goals. You have now equipped yourself with the tools necessary to help others to improve their skills. Also your self confidence on your ability to lead others will increase dramatically.

So at the beginning of any plan, I feel the first focus of your actions should be on you and how you’re going to get the necessary knowledge and tools to help others.

Get all materials you can get your hands on. There are people just giving away free videos and webinars all the time that will help you improve your skills. You could also hit the library for free information.

Now if you decide to purchase materials then by all means go ahead. And if your budget permits get involved with a program or group that will improve your skills.

Purchase or collect a little at a time as needed until you have built yourself a library of wealth and self improvement materials. Remember not to get overwhelm with too much at one time. Take it one step at a time.

As you move forward in your business and grow in knowledge your effectiveness on helping others will increase.

Another area of focus that should be executed daily and it is extremely vital to your success is practice!

Practice, practice, practice what you are learning. There has to be a great deal of action around practicing the new acquired knowledge and skills.

What good is it to learn all these great skills and poses all this great knowledge if you don’t put it into practice?

Take that leap and start doing the things you’re learning. It won’t be perfect at first and it may never be perfect but you will definitely get better and reach a level of expertise that will be close to perfection.

The important thing is that you’re taking action. The action to improve yourself, the action to gain the knowledge, the action to practice, the action to help others, and the action to focus on what goals you’re looking to achieve. So I ask, what is your focus?

  1. Taking one minute at a time to take care of your present task is the key to focus! It's either you take the time to do things right or you will have to find time to do them all over! Remember when you cut corners you might be compromising your results, so take time to focus!
